1. NEVER EVER GO ALONE! Always investigate with at least 1 other person.
2. ALWAYS RESPECT PRIVATE PROPERTY! Always get permission before investigating private
property, and never investigate without permission. It's illegal, you may get fined or even arrested. We don't
want that. Do we? It's not worth it.
3. DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT! Always get all the proof you can. Such as photos,
evp's, video, etc. Personal experience is nice, but it is NOT proof.
4. BE POLITE! Always be polite to the people involved in the haunt. They may not
be having a true haunt, but if they ask for an investigation, they need some understanding of what is going on. Don't
tell them they are crazy or stupid. Explain nicely what is really happening. And respect the property. It
doesn't belong to you, and you should treat it as such.
5. DON'T BRAG! If you have any sort of ESP or psychic ability, don't exploit yourself.
It will discredit your respectability. Use it, don't abuse it.
6. WORK SAFELY! Don't be stumbling around in the dark without knowing your surroundings.
Be familiar with the area in the daytime. Know what to expect.
